Tenants

If you are a tenant seeking urgent advice

The framework does not provide individual housing advice. If you are a tenant dealing with rent arrears or at risk of eviction, please contact a specialist advice organisation directly.

Citizens Advice — free, independent advice
Shelter England — housing advice and support
Shelter Cymru — housing advice in Wales

Landlords

If you are a landlord seeking collections or recovery assistance

The Tenant Arrears Collections Office (TACO) provides structured arrears recovery and county court claim services for landlords, operating in accordance with the framework's principles and stages.

Please note — the framework does not:

  • Provide legal advice on individual cases
  • Manage or intervene in active arrears disputes
  • Act as an intermediary between landlords and tenants
  • Provide a complaints or arbitration service
